Chipper (Larry Wayne) Jones hits his 400th home run in his career. Chipper lead the Atlanta Braves to defeat the Florida Marlins, 7-5, in the finale of a four- game series at Turner Field. Raising Chipper’s major league-leading batting average to .418.

Chipper Jones has become the third switch-hitter to reach 400 home runs, behind such Hall Of Fame greats such as: Mickey Mantle (536) and Eddie Murray (504). Chipper 36 hope his health hold up so he shoot for 500 home runs. This would mean he would have to play for the next five or six years.

Larry Wayne (Chipper) Jones should feel very proud of his goals and the Hall of Fame company he keeps.
