Washington Capitals’ Ovechkin has been given the Hart Award by the National Hockey League’s most valuable player (MVP) today. Alexander Ovechkin has swept the awards this year for an unprecedented season.

Alexander Ovechkin has won the Hart, Pearson, Richard and Ross trophies in the same year. This is the first time any player has won all these awards in the same season in the National Hockey League.

The Washington Capitals may have not won the Stanley cup but they sure won a winner with Alexander Ovechkin. Who knows maybe next year they will be the Stanley Cup winners. This would definitely complete Ovechkin’s career.
