Myanmar finally has opened its doors to foreign aid from all countries today for the cyclone hit region. The mass devastation has been heard around the globe and foreign aid has been waiting to get into the Irrawaddy delta, worst hit by the Cyclone Nargis.

Our hearts have gone out to the people of Myanmar since the Cyclone Nargis hit. The Myanmar junta has even agreed to allow Cargo planes and helicopters to enter into the country to deliver the much needed aid and medical supplies. Myanmar, once known as Burma, sits in ruins after the devastation from the cyclone that hit on Saturday. The government refuses to let the aid in from the rest of the world. Bogalay, once populated of over 190000 people has lost 95% of their homes. People have no food or water to sustain them and the government will not help.

Aid from all over the world is waiting outside Myanmar for the go ahead to disperse necessary food, water and medical supplies. The Myanmar government says no. Why are they so unwilling to help their own people? Their own citizens are going about aimlessly waiting for their government to step in and help. But no help is arriving.
